Sister's Butcher

The first in Portugal to receive certification by the Portuguese Celiac Association.

Ana, Margarida, Maria Inês and Maria João. Four women, four sisters. Or rather, sis.

They name this butchery, the first in Portugal to receive certification by the Portuguese Celiac Association. Therefore, it is not just any cut. And that's not just why it is.

With an autoimmune disease, the sisters have long been looking for alternatives to a healthier diet: a diet rich in protein and compatible with intolerances, but at the same time, reconciled with a daily rhythm of life that often requires quick and easy meals to prepare.

This need led to the ingenuity - the ingenuity to create a line of artisanal sausages and preparations that are gluten-free, lactose-free and without synthetic additives, produced and filled with organic products, mostly from small local producers.

The desire to continue the tradition in this area started by their grandfather and followed by their father, evolving in concept and in offering, makes them look for raw material suppliers who share their values: the fresh products they use are organic and the meat is of national origin, from the Centro and Alentejo regions, from breeders committed to the quality of their animals' food, and who promote the most natural breeding possible, respecting the principles of circular economy and regenerative agriculture..

Faithful defenders of local commerce, manas keep the small street shop open in the village of Ponte de Rol, but have a weekly delivery service in the Torres Vedras area, Greater Lisbon, Sintra / Cascais Lines and in the South Bank, at points previously agreed upon meetings. The transport is done in its own van, equipped with a cooling system ensuring the absence of breaks in the cold chain.

Farmers they work with: Porcus Natura, Monte Silveira Bio, Porco Saloio, Quinta da Galeana, Loja do Sal..
